Our Galaxy’s Edge Wishlist

As if Disneyland and Disney World weren’t insanely amazing enough, they are making our deepest geek dreams come true with the new Galaxy’s Edge Star Wars-themed lands. We love everything about it, but here’s what we’re most excited about:

Seeing the Millennium Falcon in Person

The most famous “hunk of junk” in the galaxy is recreated in all its life-size, 100-foot-long splendor. Guests can walk around inside it, sit down at the famous dejarik table, and ride a ride for the ages. Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run is different every time and has infinite outcome possibilities.

Getting Interrogated by Stormtroopers

The Imperial guards regularly patrol Galaxy’s Edge, looking for troublemakers and guests who have overstayed their reservation time. We cannot wait.

Making Our Own Lightsabers

We’re huge fans of making our own Harry Potter wands at Universal, so we’re over-the-moons excited to get the do the same with a light saber. Themes include Peace & Justice, Power & Control, Elemental Nature, and Protection & Defense. We just want whatever Rey uses.

Grabbing a Drink at Oga’s Cantina

We really don’t care what they serve us — although we do hear the Hyperdrive, a mixture of Powerade Mountain Berry Blast, white cranberry juice, black cherry purée, and Sprite delivers a nice punch — we’re just going for the music. Thankfully, Oga’s Cantina is a fairly faithful recreation of the Mos Eisley Cantina, complete with lit bar and rounded booths but without the creepy-lipped Sy Snootles. We’re much happier to see our old Star Tours friend Rex as the resident DJ as R-3X.

Eating at Docking Bay 7

While we’ve heard the Smoked Kaadu Ribs and Roasted Endorian Tip-yip Salad are fantastic (we’ve always wondered about tip-yip, we heard it tastes like chicken…), it’s the Mustafarian Lava Roll we’re after. A puff pastry filled with chocolate mousse and topped with Oreo cookie crumbles and red berry glaze? Yes please!

Scoring Exclusive Merch

We want it all: mugs, keychains, t-shirts, toys, pins, flags, hats, water bottles, flashlights, costume pieces… And a stuffed Porg. We definitely need a cuddly Porg.

Chewie, we’re home.

Tell us, what are you most looking forward to doing at Galaxy’s Edge, or, lucky droid, what have you already done?
